"I guess you can say that I've followed after my mom's footsteps. You see, she
was a theatrical actress. I would spend my time watching her rehearse for each
production. From that point on, I knew I wanted to be just like her. In fact, I even
memorized her lines and would recite them occasionally. She would then laugh
and say 'You know my lines better than I do!' That was how interested I was in
acting. Ever since then, I've been working hard on making it far as a performer.
When you look at me, you probably see a bubbly, energetic girl who can be quite a
riot at times. I love to have a good time, whether it's by going to a party or hanging
out with a best friend at the local coffee shop. I am interested in trying new things
and I'm never afraid to be myself. Sometimes I can get stubborn and want to do my
own thing without letting others control me. I am Selena Gomez; no one is going to
stop me from being myself. Only I can chose to live my life the way I want it to be.
Lately I've been taking an interest in singing, which is why I've put together
a band well known as Selena Gomez ♥ the Scene! It's been so much fun being able to
express my thoughts in lyrics and performing it to the world. Also, my favorite little
passion has been to dance. Whenever I'm not busy, I would turn up the volume to
the radio and start dancing. You can say that I'm pretty spontaneous and it shows
in all my work. Like I've said, I'm not afraid to be myself... though, random it may be.
I love to hang out with my friends whenever I get the chance. You can catch me by
the mall, shopping for the latest fashions or just exploring the scene. Sometimes
I like to take a penny from my pocket, make a wish, and toss it into the little water
fountain for luck. I'm a believer in hope and luck. In fact, I also believe in being pure
to myself, which is why I wear a purity ring engraved 'true love waits'. I'm Christian,
you see... as well as the rest of my family. I got this ring when I was twelve years old.

Famous. She wanted to be famous. Delilah wanted the lights, camera, and action; all part of the package to get herself known. It was the first day back to Camp Hope, her only opportunity to get herself out there as a fresh, young talent in the performance arts field. Delilah aspired to become an actress, wanting to fill the important status following her father's shoes. He had been quite famous in England, where she had originated from, before being asked to spend time in the United States to continue her dream and become successful.
The only tough part was that her chance at fame would take part on camping grounds which wasn't the best place to be when you're wearing $250 black velvet heels strapping around her fair ankles. Her dress consisted of a silky material in shades of a deep, pastel pink and black. The bottom portion had been lightly ruffled to create a sort of elegant look, quite appealing for a wealth status. Yet, to make the outfit even more elegant, a simple ribbon was placed in the center of her chest, the straps were made of the same material that clung onto her body.
Delilah should have known better to keep her appearance a little more casual, since she had experienced the grounds of this campsite before, and it wasn't pretty. Recalling back to the time she had fallen into the lake after just wearing a brand new $800 dress her mother had bought her for her birthday, Delilah shuddered at the thought of the chances of her dress being ruined. It was personally sewn together for her by a seamstress out in England. The occasion was for the welcome back party that Camp Hope had put together every year.
Catching glimpse of Carissa Legard who had arrived just shortly before her, Delilah instantly remembered how she had intentions of making her way as part of the Elites. It was quite impossible, since she had come from across seas and was still adjusting to the new environment. Although, she was also determined to make sure she got what she wanted; to advance her horizons as an actress. If becoming part of the Elites would stand in the way, it wasn't considered a possibility no longer. Delilah wanted fame more than her social status.
She had a few friends that were able to accept her easily than others; others were either scared to approach her and find out more about England, or they just didn't want to waste their time. Speaking of her friends, Delilah's chocolate eyes scanned the entire area to see if she wasn't alone... but after a moment of glancing around, her friends were not in sight. Sighing, she scratched the back of her neck and checked to make sure her hair had still been in place, not any flyaways or frizziness at all. Feeling she looked good, Delilah waited for anyone she knew.
